2nd Ghana Agrochemical and Crop Protection Exhibitions and Awards (GACA) Slated for March 27-28 2025

Agrihouse Foundation is set to host the second edition of the Ghana Agrochemical and Crop Protection Exhibitions and Awards (GACA) on Thursday, March 27 to Friday, March 28, 2025, in Techiman at the Bonokyempem Hall in the Bono Region.

In a statement, the Founder and Executive Director of Agrihouse Foundation, Alberta Nana Akyaa Akosa, stated that this year’s event to be held under the theme: “Sustaining the Climate and Environment – The Role of the Input Dealer.” seeks to play an essential role in promoting sustainable farming practices and improving farmers’ access to quality seeds, fertilizers, and agrochemicals, and inputs which are crucial for increasing productivity and ensuring food security.

“we aim to strengthen access to quality agricultural inputs, promote environmental sustainability, and highlight the critical role of input dealers in climate-smart agriculture. It will also help farmers adequately prepare for the upcoming planting season,” she stated.

The two-day event will also serve as a platform for knowledge-sharing and collaboration among key stakeholders, including seed companies, fertilizer producers, farmers, agribusinesses, policymakers, development partners, IT professionals, and financial institutions. Discussions will focus on practical solutions and innovations that support sustainable farming and enhance food security in Ghana.

Building on the success of last year’s maiden edition, which brought together over 400 farmers, input dealers, seed and machinery companies, Fertilizer Companies policymakers, and agricultural stakeholders, the 2025 edition is set to expand its reach and impact.

Last year’s event facilitated meaningful discussions, interactive exhibitions, and networking opportunities that empowered farmers with knowledge of best agricultural practices, improved access to essential farming resources, and fostered connections between input dealers and farmers.

This year, the event promises even more opportunities for farmers and agripreneurs to showcase their products, participate in business-to-business meetings, and explore innovative solutions that enhance agricultural productivity.

Key areas of focus for this year’s exhibition and discussions include agrochemicals, seed production, fertilizers, irrigation solutions, agricultural machinery, farm finance, and digital technologies in agriculture.

The Ghana Agrochemical and Crop Protection Exhibitions and Awards remain a vital initiative in strengthening Ghana’s agricultural sector. By ensuring that farmers and agribusinesses have access to the best agricultural inputs and knowledge ahead of the planting season, the event contributes significantly to sustainable farming and increased productivity.
