Qualiplast Ghana Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Ghana’s agricultural sector through the production of durable and locally manufactured plastic products tailored to farmers’ needs.
Speaking at the 3rd Ghana Agrochemicals and Crop Protection Exhibitions and Awards (GACA 2026), organized by Agrihouse Foundation in partnership with the Bono East Regional Coordinating Council under the theme: “Bountiful yield, the pride of harvest” the Deputy General Manager of the company, Andrea Akl, described farmers as the backbone of Ghana’s economy and emphasized the importance of providing them with reliable products to improve their operations.

According to her, Qualiplast, a wholly Ghanaian-owned company established in 1973, has remained one of the country’s leading plastic packaging and manufacturing companies for more than three generations.
She noted that the company serves several sectors, including household goods, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, mining, and agriculture, with the agricultural sector remaining one of its major focus areas.
“Without our farmers, we wouldn’t be anywhere. Farmers play a key role in developing our economy and feeding the nation, and that is why it is important for us to support them,” she stated.

Andrea explained that Qualiplast manufactures over 700 different products, many of which are specifically designed to support agricultural activities across the country.
These products include poultry feeders and fountains, watering cans, crates, waste bins, plastic pallets, and other farm-related items that help improve efficiency in farming operations.
She further stressed that all products are produced locally in Ghana and distributed nationwide to ensure farmers in every part of the country have access to quality and long-lasting farming equipment.
Highlighting the company’s commitment to quality assurance, she said Qualiplast has in-house laboratories that ensure products meet high durability standards.

“Our name is Qualiplast because we provide quality products. We make products that are made to last and support farmers in their daily operations,” she added.
She concluded by commending farmers for their hard work and dedication toward feeding the nation, assuring them of the company’s continuous support through innovative and reliable products.
The 3rd GACA exhibition brought together stakeholders in agriculture, agribusinesses, agrochemical companies, farmers, and industry players to promote innovation and partnerships within Ghana’s agricultural value chain.
