The Gold in the soil awards is a women-focused award ceremony that promotes, strengthens and Motivates a paradigm shift in projecting women achievers in agribusiness, through the recognition and celebration of women pioneers and trailblazers, who push the boundaries along the agribusiness value chain, especially at the community, Districts and regional levels, within and across the country.
Participation cuts across smallholder women , rural women, women achievers, ‘agriprenuers’ and youth in agriculture. It runs for 2days, alongside WOFAGRIC.
The spotlight is focused on the nominated women’s farms and businesses, and tells their story through a documentary series that dwells on passion, drive, excitement, challenges, short and long term vision, in a way designed to inspire and mentor viewers.
The event is designed to have a rotational venue from Region to Region annually, thereby unearthing heroic women in each Region and ultimately supporting to build a strong and organic data of women who are passionately working to improve nutrition and make our lives better by putting food on the table.
